- Anyone who has ever read anything David Foster Wallace has written or who has watched Roger Federer play tennis will appreciate this story. Before Wallace's untimely death, he wrote an incredible article on Federer, relating watching him to a religeous experience. There are many sports articles that are timeless (which is altogether another conversation), and this is one of them.
- Incredible, but long piece, by Tom Friend, possibly the best writer at ESPN.com (and someone I've met) on Tierra Rogers. Long story short, Tierra's father overcame a life of violence and gangs to help his daughter become one of the most promising women's basketball prospects ever. When he was killed, his daughter was faced with fulfilling her committment to basketball or letting the situation compromise her dreams. Great story.
- Another e-ticket that I read in the past week or so was the tragic story of the town of Willow, California. Sad story, great message.
- Here's the thing. I'm NOT okay with this whole Tom Brady saga. If I lose Tom Brady from my life, I'm going to kill myself. He's really the only thing I care about. If I needed life saving surgery and Tom Brady was getting ready to go under the knife, I'd let him take my spot. I'm not even kidding.
You won't see another hit like this for another ten years. I'm not even being hyperbolic. It's true.
Secondly, this is the best thing I've seen in a long time. Seriously, is that a Taz shirt?
Lastly, the picks will be up tomorrow sometime as well as the seventh chapter of Chasing Sunsets.
3 holla back:
I could only get through 30 seconds of that jerk off kid. I don't understand why its so funny. On another note, OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT
I actually felt bad for that kid in the taz shirt. Who would let her put that up there? Just sad....
This is the funniest thing...not sad, hilarious! Clearly she has more self esteem than anybody we know AND her video was linked to on a website...how many other little fat girls in a Taz shirt can say that? love it!
